Hey Knights, Thanks to everyone for coming out to this years Knighties. Congratulations to the Knighty Winners: Mr. Conginial Knight (Grenpa) and Mr. KNiceGuy (Natalia), well deserved Guys!! A Big THANKS to Saffrinia for her Fantastic planning and hosting, even without a working mic! Thank you AK, right on the money with the Best Dressed competion; just when you thought there was no way she would be able to pick a definitive winner, she spotted the awesome dress skills of Biff(Warobi) and his pet. Thanks to all the Officers for their efforts in making this a Great Knighties. Also, who knew KoH had a personal Brewfest Consultant? That's right, invite Brewmaster Killy and his ponies to your party and it won't be long before your party is rockin(naked)...hic. We hope you all had a relaxed and Fun time. Thanks again and see you in game! Couldn't make it to the Knighties?! No problem, roll the clip! Nat's disclaimer: First timer...
Hiya Guildies! We have some very exciting news to talk about so let's get right to it. KoH is redirecting, but let's give you some background... For all of you newer folks a bit of history; Many moons ago an elite team of Knights gathered together in the dark passageways of Blackrock Mountain to face the 132 bosses and 8000 mobs in Molten Core. Typically, it was a 4 day event, 6 hours every night, sometimes longer. But this day was our day, the day KoH stood tall. The event began, swords super slashed, fireballs and frostbolts fanatically flew, daggers double dinged, and healers heavily healed . When it was done - KoH was victorious - crushing the Core in 4 hours and 9 minutes. It was a stunning victory for KoH - one that went down in the annals of history. We want to re-live that experience, over and over! So the officers of KoH have banded together and deliberated on how to achieve that goal. There are two different kinds of guilds; casual and progression. After a long deliberation, the officers of KoH have decided the only way to get from here to there is to change KoH into a new and totally different type of guild; a regression guild! This change is effective immediately and goes hand-in-hand with Blizzards amazing announcement today of the new World of Warcraft:
The Molten Core console game. Please see the announcement here! Molten CoreIt's a very exciting time for KoH and I know that you know that we know that you are very very excited about this change and look forward to many long hours of playtime in the new MC. So dust off your console, grab your joystick, throw in the new Molten Core cartridge and hope that the darn thing still works! As you may know, the Atari 2600 was not networked so to further add to the excitement, the team of Jaycyn, Nemo and Doc will be retrofitting all consoles with Gigabit Ethernet capability for team play*. Additionally, Tane and Nat have crafted an entire new cartridge event for your leveling pleasure; Hogger: The Return, which will be available from retailers near you. The enhanced version contains a special secret decoder ring prize and a special introduction from Saffie (available on 8-Track or 78 LP). We look forward to seeing your low-end, blocky, bit-mapped characters in game! - Jaycyn *available for $19.95. Call now! Operators are standing by.
The Knighties Are Coming!
The Knighties are a time for the guild to get together and goof around. This is our third annual event!
No raiding, no pvp, no loot, and if we're lucky, no Rosdav being late. We just hang out for a little while and wave at each other, and chat at each other. We're a social guild, so it's nice to see people who you know but don't necessarily get to hang out with much online, whether due to real life or timezone differences or whatever else. Feel free to hug or punch shoulders, whichever you prefer. Or if you're Killy, both is fine. And bring what snowballs you have left, they're a fine conversation starter.
Every year, we take a moment to recognize a Knight who has gone above and beyond what you'd expect from anyone in a guild. In a guild full of great people, it's nice to take a moment to say thank you to that person who you know does a lot of work to keep the guild running. Please send your nomination for most helpful Knight to Saffrinia, even if you're unable to attend the Knighties.
There's traditionally a KoH fashion show, but it's much less organized than it sounds. Basically, each Knight dresses in the best and/or most interesting set of non-battle armor they can get their hands on. Tuxedos are always good, and we've also seen head-to-toe farmer john sets, pirate costumes, and ogre suits. Our resident fashionista, Akairyan, selects the person whose costume is the most... well, I never really understood that part, but Ak does. Then we all cheer. It's fun, trust me.
After that, we have the surprise event at the end, which is something of a contest. The event is pure ridiculousness. There is quite a prestigious reward!
All of us officers will be there. We really hope to see you there.
Hiya folks! We are looking at our raiding times and frequency and need your help! Please read the Raid Time Results post in the private forums. Thanks!
Hey Knights, This week the Kara party rocked all the way to the top! It started out Flaming then got a little Tundery in the end it was a Stary Knight. Downing all the primary bosses and 101 coming in after to get some practice and experience from Illhoof and Netherspite. Way to go all and grats on the upgrades. Be sure to study up on those two and we'll have another go at them. http://www.kohhyjal.com/forumreply.aspx?tid=437870http://www.kohhyjal.com/forumreply.aspx?tid=415952Congratulations to Darknnight, Kraeg, and Springrain on the promotions! Woot! You may have seen that instead of doing double weekly Kara runs we are going to point towards Zul'Aman. Nat wrote a detailed post about it, so please check it out when you can. http://www.kohhyjal.com/forumreply.aspx?tid=469462 And be sure to study if you want to help make it a success. The quicker everyone understands what is happening and what we should be doing, the quicker bosses seem to Die.Die.Die...lol http://www.kohhyjal.com/ThreadsView.aspx?fid=127059Understand group changes, schedule changes, and infamous repair bills will happen. On a final note, THE KNIGHTIES ARE COMING! ...start hitting up your tailors now! Thanks for all you do, kill with you later! Doc.
Our fine group of Knights went in and stomped Kara Saturday night. A special thanks to Acting coaches Natalia and Rosdav for a great job teaching our newly keyed Knights! Our fabulous cast consisted of tanks Rosdav and Natalia, healers Whytebeard, Merryme, and Turean – What? am I seeing double? Thanks to the magic of Nat and family we did see Natalia twice J. Also thanks to Nat’s brother for helping us out! Our damage dealer’s were Lypherion, Rayze, Mishablue, Impact, Warobi, and Dazel. In the first scene we saw the cast and crew stomping a cute lil’ horsey. Ah well, he needed to die. Scene 2: Moroes – Now where was I? oh yeah - dead again, Scene 3: Love pricks like a thorn no more – Yes, Misha, I said pricks. Anyway no one kills our naked hunter and gets away with it! And honestly Ray no one peaked … well maybe Warobi. He’s kind of sneaky that way. Scene 4: - A whole lot a woman makes a big boom when she hits a whole lot of floor. Lots of purple upgrades were had and green belts were being parted with <cough, cough>. Did you know Misha has a tankier side? – well she does now. Even the trash mobs were generous as three epics dropped off of them! But without a doubt the most exciting drop of the night was …. Drum roll please……… the MONGOOSE ENCHANT. Woot Whyte and woot KoH! What do you think? A little extra agility for Merry? She’s so going to bust a move at the local disco!

Also, welcome back Jay and Myst. Hope you had a Great Vacation! Major steps are being made in Karazhan! Booyah to the Heavy Calvary(HC) group that ran through and downed Prince Malabar in two runs! If you haven't been keeping up the HC isn't a specific group but it is reference to having a certain gear and experience level in and from Kara. Our goals are still Two Kara raids so please read the post Two Team Kara and sign up for the events when you can make it. I would also like to take a minute to thank Nat(Natalia). Recently Nat took an Officer position and immediately took on the major role of being KoH's First Guild Treasurer. He has be doing tremendous work in formatting and molding what we are looking for in a Guild bank. Keep a look out in the forums for some information coming on what you can do help out. Thank you very much Nat. Take care and hit the monster with your staff! Doc.
